Guy With A Twig

The great thing about being a fairy or borrower or wee folk or whatever is that you can be walking along and a lot of things can be fairly similar, like moss looks a lot like grass and rocks are basically boulders but then you come to things like this, where there's a giant twig or a leaf like a crumpled up tent, or a giant acorn, or a pine needle or two and that part is all very different.  Its something I find fascinating.

Ruined Castle

Its also available as a print, (and other stuff), on Society6!

I am immensely proud of this one! :)

You see there in the lower right corner where I signed it?  I signed it with my micron pen when I finished the outline drawing last year, and I had to paint in the year with watercolors when I finished coloring it in just today.  So I do finish projects it just takes me a while.

So I've been messing around with watercolors lately, and this is my first attempt that actually turned out.  I've been playing around with watercolors lately in the vain hope that the increased evaporative quality of the water, will compete with my tendency to totally obliterate the paper.  The colors have more variety in them than I could reduplicate on purpose, being reconstituted accretions of previous experiments.
